When I was in high school, i was one of the top academic students, consistently getting straight A’s every year. This success carried over to my studies at UBC where i was again consistently on the Dean’s Honor Roll list. In the end, I graduated from the Master of Arts in Economic Program and the Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Real Estate with honor standing from the University of British Columbia.
In terms of my work experience, while I was studying at UBC, I worked as a teacher assistant/research assistant at UBC where i had the opportunities to meet and work with faculty members from the Sauder School of Business and the Schools of Economic. After i graduated, I worked as a customer service representative at RBC where I had the opportunities to develop excellent communication and customer service skills. After working at Royal Bank for more than a year, I began to work at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where i worked in different department, such as Students Enrollment Service and University Space Administration. As an approachable, self-motivated and industrious team player who is committed to turning his love of learning into a love of teaching, I always stay positive and optimistic. I am a self-starter and self-disciplined (and i can work well independently and in teams.
In terms of my attitude, my attitude towards learning is that I love learning and I am a quick learner. My attitude towards work is that i am willing to do whatever i can to help the company become successful. My attitude toward life is that I always believe the best and prepare for the worst, because I understand that a plan without accounting for failure is doom to fail.
As a Christian, I invest my free time doing Bible study and I enjoy singing praise and worship songs with my guitar. Outside of work, I like to do various outdoor activities, such as hiking, jogging, playing on the beach, and swimming. I love to play all types of sports (hockey, basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton etc.).
I created this blog to document each stage of my learning journey through the VCC PID program, and share with you some of my insights, reflections, and helpful resources.
